Enzianhutte in Hilders

The goose we ordered was great, with dumplings, baked apples, red cabbage, and a filling (minced meat). The ambience around the Enzianhütte is worth a trip.

The sight of the Kaschemme actually already tells that the best years are long gone, even inside it didn't get any better unfriendly reception no star would be the right rating

Unfriendly reception, despite reservation we couldn't get a seat ..... very bleak ambience ..... the lonely and deserted street, leading to the right destination! No thanks!

The annual outing was great, as always, and the women's soccer team had a lot of fun: 0). It is a shame that the tenant stops this year and is closed from Monday. The restaurant is rustic and the service is robust to the guest, but that's part of it ...

An experience. In wonderful, sunny weather we were lucky enough to get a shady place outside. The service was excellent (alert, quick, courteous and funny). The drinks are cool and the Vesper plate is excellent. I give 5 asterisks and have nothing to complain about. Oh ... yes ... and the view over the Rhön? Over-over-gend !!!

What I found incredible was that data protection is obviously not given any importance! The sheets / catalogs for the address data were open and filled out by the last guests at the seat, so that everyone could see the contact details! Obviously, data protection and the saving of data are not exactly what they are here ... There were seven of us making reservations, unfortunately the food arrived at the table so differently that when the first one was ready the last one was just starting to enjoy his meal. The food was still very, very tasty, the view phenomenal! The staff is very direct, some of them find it unfriendly or brutal, I personally think a direct and open manner is better than artificial friendliness! Very clear menu with very fair prices. I will be happy to correct the three stars as soon as we come back, if the negative points mentioned above should no longer be the same as during our current visit.

Just the view from the terrace! Card for a hut remarkably versatile. Usually a big crowd, the wait staff has everything under control, the tone at times a bit "rustic" but okay. Definitely recommended. The operators will supposedly stop next year.

The food here is very tasty, home-style. Food came very quickly too. View from the terrace is great. Unfortunately the waitress (male) was not particularly friendly that day.

Rude and very expensive !! You can see the unfriendly nature in some of the responses to comments. The new owner from 2021 will have a hard time getting many many displaced guests back on board. You could almost say that Schorsch is doing the extra ? a shame but worse than ever. We'll try again when a new operator is on board.

If only zero stars were possible ... Service is an impertinence in terms of unfriendliness beyond compare. When asked politely, one was harshly disgraced with questionable humor. Astronomical prices (€ 4.50 for a pilsner) !! Corona also does not justify such prices ... No observance of hygiene measures, no face mask, etc. In addition, questionable advertising for Corona denier literature in the hallway. Impossible! Thanks for nothing ...

Great view, good service, even if overloaded. Overall a nice place to fortify yourself during the hike. Food not of very high quality, rather bad fast food.

Ambience very nice view beautiful. Only staff could be friendlier. Guests can also not pay for the regulations because of corona. Due to the unfriendliness we didn't eat anything.

Anyone traveling to the Rhön has to go there, with a wonderful view from the terrace. Eat good. Drinks unfortunately overpriced.

Great location for an excursion restaurant. The food was average to good. Unfortunately, the food offer was quite narrow, individual wishes are not dealt with. Overall, even when placing and hosting rather unfriendly.

Delicious food nice staff great view ???

We had planned a tour to the Enzianhütte and were very happy when we arrived. However, this joy quickly evaporated because we were ignored by the waiter for 20 minutes. Would love to come back as it's a hell of a place, but such behavior is unacceptable.

Cozy atmosphere, great Kloster beer and good food! In the warmer month you can sit outside on the terrace and enjoy an amazing view into the valley!
